How to Remove Your Fear of Spoken English — My Honest Advice

Spoken English is important. We all know that. Yet many people still feel nervous the moment they try to speak. But let me tell you something very simple — English is just a language. Nothing more. Nothing less.
 
Think about your mother tongue.
Bangla is our mother tongue, Hindi is India’s mother tongue, and so on. When we were 8 or 9 years old, we didn’t sit with grammar books or rules. We simply learned by environment — friends, parents, relatives, school… everywhere we heard our mother tongue, so we picked it up naturally.
 
English works the exact same way.
 
If you get the right environment, your learning becomes easier. If you practice every day, your fear slowly disappears. And if you give yourself time, you become confident automatically.
 
Here’s what I tell all my students:
•Give 30 to 45 minutes daily to spoken English.
•Try to think in English whenever possible.
•Speak, even if it’s broken.
•Accept mistakes. Mistakes are your teachers.
•Stay consistent.
 
Remember, you don’t need perfection — you need progress.
And progress comes from daily practice, not fear.
 
Start today. English will become your friend, not your fear.

Is English the Only Key to Success? Here’s the Real Answer

People often ask me:
“Is English the only important thing to become successful?”

My answer has two sides.

YES — English is essential today.

English is the global language.
Wherever you go, whatever you do, you must communicate with people who don’t speak your native language. Decision-makers, policy-makers, professors, clients — they all need to understand you.

You may know grammar. You may speak fluently. But if you cannot present your ideas, explain your thoughts, or express your vision, you will not stand out.
Communication + English = Power.

NO — English is not everything.

If you work in technical fields like robotics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or production-level industries, English may not be the biggest priority. Your skill matters more there.

But here’s the truth:

If you want to reach top positions, leadership roles, or decision-making posts, you must know English well. That’s the reality of today’s world.

Final Verdict

No matter where you go, English will support you. It opens doors. It builds trust. It boosts your confidence. Yes, there are exceptions, but in most cases, English gives you a higher chance of success.
